You know what’s so heartbreaking when you work BTS with amazing and successful entrepreneurs?
I work with six —and seven-figure business owners and see how burnt out and sick they get after they launch a new product or service. Just after 4-7 days, their bodies basically shut down.
Now, I’ll preface it with this.
NOT EVERY ENTREPRENEUR I WORK WITH GETS SICK OR BURNT OUT AFTER A LAUNCH…
But here’s what I do know.
These amazing women LOVE their community so much, and because of that it impacts their emotional and mental health before and after launch.
Did you just read that and think…. “Yep, that’s why I feel so overwhelmed to launch again…”
Launching a new product or service should and CAN be exciting!
But as you know (because most of you have launched before), it requires sooo much planning and execution. Maybe more than you thought you needed?!
For female entrepreneurs like you, it’s essential to align your product launch and copywriting with your menstrual cycle.
Why? If you do, it can significantly enhance your productivity, creativity, emotional regulation, and success with your launch! Making you excited to launch AGAIN and AGAIN!
So, whether you outsource an expert or do this yourself, here’s how you can plan your launch strategy WITH your cycle:
Leverage Your Menstrual Cycle for Peak Launch Performance
Your menstrual cycle isn’t just a monthly event; it’s a powerful tool that can guide you through optimal times for anything you do (in this case copywriting and launching).
Here’s how each phase of your cycle affects your energy and productivity:
Menstruation Phase (Around days 1-5): Use this time for rest and reflection.
(Psssttt. the LAST thing you need is to go through a launch while on your bleed or new moon phase. I’ve seen it happen before and burn out is right around the corner if that’s the case.)
Before you even start creating your offer, review your launch plan/calendar and make any necessary adjustments based on how you can maximize the energy you do have. If you have 1 month to plan, create, and launch, it might be best to push your launch back a little bit to give yourself space.
Prior to launch month, the menstruation phase is great for analyzing and getting introspective on anything that has to deal with your product, offer, and community! Dig into market research and customer feedback.
Follicular Phase (Around days 3-14): This is your time for brainstorming and strategizing.
Your energy levels and creativity are on the rise (we love a good estrogen rise), making it an ideal period to work on planning your product launch and crafting compelling copy. This could look like starting that first draft of your sales page, emails, opt-in forms, and webinar registration page.
Ovulation Phase (Around days 14-21):
Capitalize on your heightened confidence and communication skills! Get on a LIVE or even show up on a little podcast tour to increase engagement and reach with new ideal clients/customers.
ENGAGE ENGAGE ENGAGE
Because your energy is high, this will generate excitement to promoting your upcoming launch!
In the past, so many of my clients loved doing their LIVEs on Instagram during their ovulatory phase, because their physical body naturally wanted to be more forward-facing and more extroverted.
Luteal Phase (Around days 21-28):
Focus on detailed tasks, follow-ups, and analyzing data here.
This phase is great for finalizing content, really getting into the weeds and details, reviewing your launch strategy, and preparing for the launch day.
Here’s How to Plan Your Product Launch Around Your Cycle for Maximum Impact
To make the most of syncing your cycle with your launch strategy, plan your key activities around your cycle phases:
Early Planning: Start your product planning during the Follicular Phase. The most successful launches I’ve been a part of happen at least 3 months in advance. Use this time for creative brainstorming and developing your marketing strategy.
Pre-Launch Promotion: During Ovulation, engage your audience with teasers, behind-the-scenes content, and live interactions. Build anticipation and excitement for your product.
Content Finalization: As you enter the Luteal Phase, focus on refining your content, preparing your launch, and finalizing your marketing plan. Get into all the details!
Reflect and Adjust: During Menstruation, review your launch plan, make adjustments based on customer feedback, and prepare for the final push prior to launch. Take it easy here. A launch really needs so much of your attention.
